Fabián Ariel Orellana Valenzuela (born January 27, 1986 in Chile). He plays forward, striker or winger for the Chilean club Audax Italiano. Orellana was one of the many Chilean players that stood out to the european scouts in the under-23 2008 Toulon Tournament where they reached the final (lost 1-0 to Italy). Since his astounding debut in the qualifiers against Argentina, the Chilean manager Bielsa has incorporated him to the adult national team.

Fabian Orellana scored his first goal for the senior team in a World Cup qualifying match against Argentina on the 15th of October.

He first cough Bielsa's attention with his campaign for Audax Italiano, he was then called from Chile's 'B' team in a friendly against Mexico 'B' where he was one of the best players on the pitch.

When Chile was about to play Argentina, winger Alexis Sanchez got injured, which provided an opportunity for Orellana to make his debut. He didn't disappoint. Now Sanchez has a rival for his position...

SANTIAGO.- A Udinese le sigue gustando el mercado chileno. Primero fue David Pizarro, luego Alexis Sánchez, Mauricio Isla y Nicolás Corvetto. Ahora nuevamente miraron suelo nacional para fijarse en un futbolista.

El equipo de Friuli está interesado en contratar al delantero de Audax Italiano, Fabián Orellana.

El cuadro italiano envió una propuesta a las oficinas del elenco de La Florida a través del agente de Sánchez, Fernando Felicevich.

En Audax están analizando la oferta económica, pero no les satisface, debido a que aún la consideran muy baja, además que Udinese quiere hacerla efectiva a partir de julio. Y eso no interesa al jugador ni al club.

En cuanto a las opciones de México, siguen siendo muy lejanas, sobre todo por el plano económico. Audax no vendería a Orellana en menos de 3 millones de dólares y hasta el momento ningún club se ha acercado a esa postura.

Orellana recibió esta mañana la visita de sus representantes con el fin de hablar el tema y entregarle tranquilidad al jugador.

Audax aceptaría última oferta de Udinese por Fabián Orellana

El mismo agente que llevó a David Pizarro a Italia, Silvio Lescovich, aseguró a Emol que la regencia de Friuli ofreció ahora 4 millones de dólares por el atacante de Audax Italiano.

Al parecer Fabián Orellana estaría contando sus días en Chile para viajar a Italia.

SANTIAGO.- Tal como lo adelantó Emol el 30 de diciembre, Udinese está interesado en integrar a su plantel a un nuevo chileno.

Se trata del delantero de Audax Italiano Fabián Orellana, quien podría ser compañero en la próxima temporada del Calcio de Alexis Sánchez, Mauricio Isla y Nicolás Corvetto.

En un principio, el cuadro de La Florida no había aceptado las primeras condiciones de los europeos, pero ahora están a un paso de sellar la negociación.

Este miércoles, el agente que llevó a Italia a David Pizarro desde Santiago Wanderers, Silvio Lescovic, confirmó a Emol que la regencia del cuadro de Friuli habría ofrecido 4 millones de dólares por el atacante que marcó el gol del triunfo (1-0) ante Argentina por las Clasificatorias y Audax los estaría aceptando.

Según el empresario "en estos momentos sólo faltan las fechas de los pagos, pero ya estaría todo adelantado en un 70 por ciento".

Lescovic agregó que "en las cifras está todo bien. Son 4 millones de dólares que se ofreció por la compra definitiva del jugador, pero en un principio la idea es que se vaya a préstamo".

El agente informó que de aquí a una semana debería quedar sellado el paso del ariete al fútbol italiano.

En Audax ya conocen la oferta y aunque la primera propuesta no satisfizo, la contracarga económica de los italianos tiene conformes a los dirigentes audinos.

La transacción terminaría de concretarse durantes los próximos días. De hecho, el jugador tendría este miércoles una reunión con sus representantes, antes de viajar con la selección a Estados Unidos, para dejar todo finiquitado.
