The construction and re-development of Chilean stadiums

Sorry, I could only find this news in Spanish, which basically mentions that Elias Figueroa, a Chilean football legend, had a bit of an accident at a match in Chile when he fell about 4m when part of the area in which he was sitting gave way and collapsed.

I know that new stadiums are already being built in Chile right now, and others re-developed, but I hope that this unfortunate accident can put more pressure on the government, clubs and its sponsors to fix this issue with stadiums, which has gone on for a long, long time.

This is ridiculous...and embarrassing...they had to wait till the stadiums were literally falling apart to invest in new stadiums, typical Chilean attitude...let's wait till the last possible moment to do something...it's a good thing FIFA has been on our ass lately else we wouldn't be doing anything at all...

Can you imagine the cruel irony if the greatest Chilean footballer of all time died because of the badly maintained stadium?

wat the hell?! chile instead of building the biggest swimming pool in the world which i saw the other day, and build the biggest stadium in the world!

Yeah...I guess no one is interested in investing in Chilean football or sports...the only guys that invest in sports are famous sportsmen with tons of cash like Salas, Zamorano...or tennis players like Hans.
