Michael Bradley

With 15 goals for Heerenveen in the Dutch Eridivisie (Dutch First Division) at only 20 years of age and being a midfielder (his natural position is CMF although they use him in a more attacking position) he has consolidated as the American Player in Europe to watch in the next coming years.

The word is that he will be sold this summer to a bigger club and he's been linked to Blackburn Rovers, Everton, Manchester United, Sunderland, and Aston Villa in the EPL; Werder Bremen and VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga and Celtic in Scotland.

I hope he does not go to Man U. as he might end up on the bench which will slow down his development. Coincidentally, it seems that Everton and Blackburn Rovers are the front runners placing good bids for him and these two clubs will be good choices.

The latest related to Michael Bradley is that he might not be heading to England after all, and 3 new rumours have surfaced in recent days:

1. He will stay at Heerenveen one more year

2. He will move to Hamburg, Germany

3. Apparently AS Monaco has inquired about Bradley and Freddy Adu simultaneously.

All 3 choices at the end might be better than going to England,

1. If he stays at Heerenveen one more year and performs at the same lavel of last season his market value will double (if not triple)

2. Hamburg can be an excellent stepping stone to a big club in Europe, the GBL is not as fast paced as the EPL so he will not go to an abrupt transition at his age, you can say that a lot of 20 year olds are playing in the EPL but a lot of them don’t make it at the end, he can get a taste of a league more competitive than the Dutch Eridivisie and in one to two years make the big move. Hamburg at the end is not the most important club in Germany but is one of them.

3. Monaco has a long history of developing great players and then marketing them very well, they can have Bradley tuned up for the big better than anyone else.
