Brian McBride....

the man is a us soccer legend and i've got nothing but respect for that man and what he's done nationally as well as overseas at Fulham.

but....He hurt more than he helped during these olympics. He was solid against Japan, but that was Japan, he was a hollow shell in the more crucial games against Netherlands and Nigeria.

In hindsight I have to say that I would've preferred to see a different overage player. Maybe Carlos Bocanegra to help strenghthen the back, or perhaps a guy like Beasley who would've provided us with some much needed pace. If you so badly needed an overage forward they could've gone with Taylor Twellman or Brian Ching. McBride, god bless him, did not get it done.

Charlie Davies looked fantastic towards the end of the Nigeria match. I wish we could've seen more of him.

but my, and the us soccer nation's, biggest let down has got to be

Michael Orozco
