USA vs. El Tri

GolUSA2010-05-13 12:48:42 +0000 #1
The big matchup in the CONCACAF region is about ready to kickoff less than a week from now. Both teams come off wins and can clinch a spot in Germany 2006 with a win this Saturday. Crew stadium is sold out and hopefully will have a predominately American crowd, which is usually not the case. Still, it is a much different story than playing in Azteca. I feel the US will come out hungry this Saturday and will take 3 points and return the favor to El Tri.

USA: 2

Mexico: 1

Any other thoughts?

I'm not gonna jinx the US by predicting a score... In the Trinidad n Tobego game I predicted a 3-0 victory and we only won 1-0. In the MLS Select vs Real Madrid game I predicted 2-1 or 3-2 Real Madrid and well let's not talk about that game 5-0...

Hopefully the US can win this game and clinch a place in Germany for next summer!

I'm pretty sure both teams can qualify with a win in this game.

If Mexico or the US win are on the WC.

If they tie Mexico is in the WC and the US secures at least the fourth place, and therefore the .5 ticket to the WC.

If Mexico loses they can still secure the .5 ticket to the WC depending in other results, if the US loses depending on results they can secure the .5 ticket or have to wait one more week.
