American Soccer Shouldn't Even Exist!

I Mean There's No Point For It Americans Mainly Like Football(like They Call It It's Suppoesd To Be Handball, But,who Cares), And They Also Like Basketball, I Don't See Many Americans Play Soccer, Most Of The Ppl I See Here Are Either Europeans Or Mexicans( Indios Por Supuesto Como Siempre Hemos Dicho Los Sudamericanos)

Well That's All I Gotta To Say, And They Just Got Lucky On The Gold Cup I Mean I Dunno What Happened To Colombia. Panama Also Got Lucky, But Colombia Was Supposed To Win The Gold Cup.

But atleast they have a comparitively good NT. Who knows things might change. They need encouragement. And incase u didn't know, the USA had taken part in the 1st WC. So they do have some history.

Their version of football was created by them if I am not mistaken...Therefore, they can name it... You calling it handball when they call it football is the same as them calling it soccer when you call it football.

Wait so because people in America like basketball and American football soccer shouldn't exist?!? That's like saying because England likes Cricket they shouldn't play soccer. Your logic makes no sence whatsoever. It's also not true that nobody in America plays soccer. It is getting more popular as time goes on, and about the Gold Cup who cares?? I haven't seen Peru do anything lately!

The best team at the Gold Cup won this year, enough said. Now to you saying that football (soccer) shouldn't be played in America, I retort with this. At this moment, I think it is a pretty logical statement to say that soccer has become the 3rd most popular sport played in youth leagues in America, behind American football and basketball. The reason these are so popular is because these sports originated in this country, and that is where our best athletes usually go. Think how good American soccer would be if soccer was our national sport. Like all countries, the US is developing their talent in the field of soccer, and I'm very confident that the US could defeat many of these so-called soccer countries of South America, excluding Brazil, Argentina(but who can).

Just wait 10-20 years and you'll see how much soccer has progressed in America. Heck, in 4 years we went from winless in the World Cup to getting to the Final 8, and the States have only gotten better over the last 4 years.

Just because Soccer is not the #1 sport in USA, doesn't mean the US should not play it, soccer is like the #7 favorite sport (my opinon, since ive haven't seen the soccer fields full, just like 2 or 4 people) in the US... if it was number one USA would of won a few world cups.

US soccer is growing... and slowy improving,

Peru loves soccer, but i dont see any world cups in there trophy case.

and i think if USA played Peru, USA would win by more than you think

i would just have to disagree with u there about the last world cup, alot of players on the team werent born in america but came there to play football and had the citizenship,

but i do think that football in the USA is improving and getting good,

Yeah not to mention 2002 was filled with controversy and corruption, and mostly teams who aren't considered that great made it to the quarters and semis.

Regardless let's see how well you do in 2006 when it's held in europe..
