MLS rivals (clasicos?)

Which teams in the MLS would you say are rivals?

Currently they're trying to make a game that has never happened before a rivary or "clásico" as they put it. The only rivalry the Galaxy & Chivas USA have is that they share the same stadium.

Southern California Clásico: la.galaxy.mlsnet.com...g&fext=.jsp&team=lag

As a Revs fan I'd have to say the Crew have slowly become a rival.

There has been talk of a Fort Worth MLS team, which would definately make them a rival of FC Dallas. Which would mean more games for me

Yea, that would create a rivalry.

In 10 years, there are no other real rivals?

The only clear one I can see, even if it is new, would be the one in L.A. obviously. And only because of the shared home locating.

Rivalry develop over time. There's really not much of history to the MLS.

Dallas and Chicago tried to force one with the Brimstone Cup. Hardly a brimstone when one team is now called FC Dallas. How does one equate a rivalry on the bases of two similar names? That's just stupid. The whole Brimstone Cup was a damn marketing joke.

Rivalries are born out of key games and events over decades of play. There is none of that yet with the MLS. In time I'm sure they'll be that team and those fans who you'll just love to hate.

CUSA lost - but it seemed like an exciting time @ the stadium! This is how all MLS matches should be, nevermind how mismatched the game was!
