Al Hilal crush Al Shabab in Saudi League

RIYADH: Al Hilal crushed Al Shabab 4-0 in a battle of the Saudi League top-two and sent the defending champions sliding into third position after the 11th round of action recently.

Mohamed Al Shlhoub hit a double while Yasser Al Qahtani and Tariq Al Taib added two more in Al Hilal’s big win which propelled them to 30 points, five more than Al Wehda who rose to second with a hardfought 3-2 win over Al Nasr.

Nasser Al Shamrani scored twice and Ala Al Kuwaikabi bulged the net once to ensure a commanding lead for Al Wehda before the break but Al Nasr reclaimed two goals through Bandar Tamim and Mohamed Al Shahrani in the second half. And just when it looked like Al Nasr would snatch a point they had two players sent off in quick succession, destroying back their fightback attempts.

Al Ittihad ran out 5-1 winners at Al Faysaly, with Jared Borgetti and Al Hassane Keita scoring two goals each.

In other matches, Al Qadsiya beat scraped past Al Hazm 3-2 and Al Ettifaq drew 2-2 with Al Taei.

STANDINGS: 1. Al Hilal 30, 2. Al Wehda 25, 3. Al Shabab 22, 4. Al Ittihad 16, 5. Al Ettifaq 16

I really enjoyed watching this match specially when they brought a Spanish referee .. just after complaining the "other" clubs of AL-Hilal cheatings.
