Endometrial Biopsy

Had one of these yesterday. Don't think it's a big deal as far as the reasons go: my period is too heavy and too long. I'm 42. Tend to have some clotting. (I always have). Etc. Etc.

But jeeze, how long until the pain stops? Went into work this morning. Sat down. Said 'no way.' Emailed boss (he's in a different building). Had to rewrite it over and over. Too much pain to type. Went home.

Spent the next 9 hours or so flat on my back. Couldn't even read, I felt so sick. My dog (Moby) went into 'guard' mode. ie, stayed next to me like glue and remained very alert the whole time. (Good dog, he does that when I'm sick ). Other dog (the girl!) didn't appear to notice.

On the computer 10 minutes at a time max. Too painful to sit.

Has anyone else ever had this? Taking combination of Tylenol and Motrin. Really doesn't help that much. Using heating pad on abdomen.

Seriously hope I'll feel better tomorrow.

If you are still in pain I'd call the doctor's office about it.

FWIW I had a similar procedure years ago with no post procedure pain.

Hmmm, that doesn't sound quite right to me. I don't think you should have that much pain. Had an Endo Bx a couple years ago. I went right back to work afterwards, and really had very minimal pain. Just a tiny bit of cramping. I'd call your doc's office and let them know what's going on with you.

Hope you feel better soon!

((((Muirenn)))). Feel better soon! And I agree that perhaps a call to your doc is in order.

Call the doctor now, do not pass go, do not collect $200! I had this done and it hurt an entire 5 minutes, if that long. No pain or cramping afterwards at all. It wasn't fun when she did it, but it was a very fast procedure with no after-effects.
