Heel strain?

Somehow I managed to strain my heel - it doesn't quite feel like achilles tendon, but perhaps where this tendon connects to the heel bone? I leaned forward with my foot a bit behind me and felt a very uncomfortable pull. I would have expected any discomfort from this move to be in the calf muscle - there wasn't any - and I have never had any issues with my feet/heels before.

Any suggestions from the TE crowd as to what might be wrong and how to take care of it? If it doesn't feel better tomorrow I'll head to the doctor and have her check it out.

It doesn't hurt to bike - I did a short ride up and down the street towing my daughter on the trail-a-bike. It does ache a bit while I walk, but not acutely, just enough to remind me that I did something weird, and enough to worry me that I might have hurt something significant...

Thanks for any thoughts you have!

Another name for Hell. I'm slowly recovering from it, and I hope that you do not have it.

Could be either your tibial tendon or peroneal tendon.

Take it easy, ICE it, etc. Foot/ankle injuries are the worst and take a very long time to heal.
