I adjusted a brake!

True, I am talking about two turns with a screwdriver, but still. It's the first time I ever did anything to a brake, and it worked! The pad was rubbing the wheel, and now it isn't.

I used Bicycle Tutor as recommended by Oz and verified with Sheldon Brown. I'm not sure why, but doing even the simplest thing to my bike makes me so happy.

Congrats!!!!! I know how you feel. Last evening I was repairing a pinch flat. I have always been able to remove the tire from the rim, patch the tube, and get the tire about half way back on at which time, DH comes to the rescue. Works great as long as DH is around. Last night, I was able to get the tire back on by myself! So, I do know how you feel!!

+1. There's something very empowering about it.

I love working on my bikes.
