Sticky front brake, possibly issue with lever.

I thought I'd come here before tinkering. On my 04 GS500F, My front brake has gotten sticky all of a sudden. My lever is squeaking and has gotten fairly hard to pull, and the brakes stick momentarily when I release it..

It is left out in the rain from time to time... Any heads up on if I should lube it on it's pivot point? Thanks for the tips.

At the bottom of the pivot bolt is a nut. Remove it. You may have to remove or loosen something to get at it.

Unscrew the bolt.

Clean and grease everything, including the tit that pushes the brake piston in, the bushing in the lever if you can remove it, the lever and bracket.

Install as removed, wipe off excess.

If that doesn't fix it, time to see someone about that serious issue.

I've had three bike this week with seized brake calipers. Corrosion on the front pistons, one idiot took his off and stuck it in a vice to push it back in.............
