Anyone tried Shinko tires before?

first time I've heard of Shinko tires, I don't know anyone who's tried them, they're not as expensive as dunlop, or any other tire maker. I know it'll only last a season, but I'd still like to be riding on something that sticks on the ground good, lasts long, and is reasonably priced.

Gee, don't ask for too much there: cheap, grippy and long-lasting. The guy that can invent a tire that'll meet all those three divergent goals will be rich indeed. It's all about compromise, grip for durability, price for both. What's more important to you? Remember, you get what you pay for here, more than with most things.

A guy at work here had a set on his 954, they looked kinda "Chen Shin" but he said they worked alright. I saw a road test from some Europe Mag that said they were awsome in the wet which would be good around here.

And lastly, when he smoked them off before changing to Dunlops they made the biggest cloud I've ever seen

go bridgestone, I love my tires. I ran dunlops and took them off early. I'm much more confident in them. For a good tire that'll last long but still has decent grip, see if u can track down a set of bt-010. Lil harder than the bt-014s, but not that much difference in the grip

How much and where from? It's a new brand for around here so they need to make a few friends first before they can really take off.

Phil ("flippy" on here) has those things"? I wonder what he thinks of them?"

Hey sketch, that semi-circle of rubber that you left outside our door could use a refresher
