Grifter Licence Plate Storage

On my first couple bikes I didn't have any place for my insurance papers. I didn't have a panel I could use, I didn't have any storage under the seat.

I didn't want to use any detachable magnetic tie-on soft bag so I opted for something secure and lockable. The larger canadian plate won't let it open all the way without modification but if you have a bike and no place to put your papers here's a better option than your pocket.

They've been around forever, can be ordered in to several bike shops, and should run between $20 and $30.

I keep mine in my jacket. If you have more than one jacket, make photocopies and keep the original at home.

The best idea of course!...........Who wants to give a thief their original insurance papers to go along with the bike!......

Okay, first off, I think that thing is totally cool. I've seen or heard of such a thing before!

Secondly, wtf? Seriously? You don't have room under your seat for two pieces of folded up 8 1/2 X 11 paper in a ziploc bag!

Holy fack and here I am uber grumpy about the lack of space under my Beemer seat!

I hate carrying insurance papers 'n crap in jackets or whatever. In my easily pillaged and plundered soft top 4x4, I installed a lockable strongbox under the seat to put stuff like that in.

Alternatively, If I truly had absolutely zero room under my bike's seat, (or wherever) I would probably just stuff the folded papers under my helmet lining...
