Title hope fading - Wenger

Arsene Wenger has conceded that Chelsea are "in an ideal position" to capture Arsenal's Premiership title.

The Frenchman saw his side lose 1-0 at Bolton to slip 10 points behind their London rivals.

The Gunners boss said: "It doesn't look as though Chelsea will slip up. They are in an ideal position.

"It is too early to say they will never lose points - but they don't look vulnerable at the moment.

"We should not be worrying about Chelsea. We should be worrying about us.

"The title remains a dream when you don't win the games."

Stelios Ginnakopoulos, a European Championship winner with Greece, put a huge dent in Arsenal's hopes.

The industrious Bolton midfielder, one of the smallest men on the pitch, grabbed the winner in the 41st minute when he headed home at the back post following a cross from El-Hadji Diouf.

Robert Pires could have salvaged a point for Arsenal but headed wide from close range.

Wenger said: "I do not know how damaging this defeat is. Of course it is a big disappointment - because we knew we had to win the game today.

"I felt that in the first half we created the chances but we were not clinical enough.

"If you look at the possession we had in the game and they had it was appalling.

"We lacked determined effort in the final third and we didn't show great security in our defending."

Arsenal went into the match knowing Chelsea had beaten Tottenham hours earlier.

But Wenger said: "When you play at Arsenal pressure is part of the job. We have pressure every week."

Yea, really hope Chelsea slips man... Arsenal is my first choice of a team to win the Premiership!

The squad's still pretty good actually IMO... It's probably just cos lost the momentum they had when they were going 49-matches unbeaten... Sigh~~
