Wenger's Freddie Worry

Fredrik Ljungberg is set to visit a brain specialist, as his illness continues to cause concern for the Arsenal medical team.

The Swedish midfielder was struck down with an acute migraine last week, which forced him to sit out the weekend draw with Chelsea.

Gunners chief Arsene Wenger believed Ljungberg was on the road to recovery at the end of last week, but the Swede was laid low again on Saturday evening and he will be sent to see a brain specialist in bid to get to the root cause of the problem.

"Freddie is not too well," said Wenger. "I don't think he will be ready for this Sunday.

"He recovered from the first bout but, even on Saturday, he still did not look completely right.

"I would not have started him but he still came with us the night before the game. Then, he had a sudden resurgence of the migraine and we had to send him home.

"The doctor said we have to keep him out of training for at least four or five days."

Ljungberg seems certain to miss Sunday's clash with Portsmouth, but Wenger will hope he can prove his fitness to figure over the busy Christmas period.
