Jiri Jarosik knows that he must be patient in waiting for his chance at Chelsea, but is delighted to be at Stamford Bridge.

The Czech Republic midfielder arrived in West London from CSKA Moscow, and is now battling to get into Jose Mourinho's side.

Jarosik has made just three substitute appearances so far for The Blues, but knows he must bide his time.

"When I am in the squad, I want to play," Jarosik told Pravo.

"But I am a realist, there is a lot of competition here and many great players don't get into the match.

"I have started from scratch but I am happy to be in such a team as Chelsea. I must be patient."

Jarosik knows that he faces stiff competition for places in Mourinho's Premiership leaders.

"All centre midfielders are competition for me, but it is like that for every position here, all the players are great.

"I'm enthralled by Arjen Robben. Despite being just 21, he plays fantastic and it's enjoyable to see him play."

Jarosik has to adapt to life in London, but says that learning English will help him settle in the capital.

"I am slowly getting used to it here. The team welcomed my very well.

"I have Petr Cech here, who helps me with everything, and I can ask Alexei Smertin for help as I can understand him."
