Garcia, Mullins wait for FA

Reuters

Liverpool and West Ham United have appealed against red cards shown to Luis Garcia and Hayden Mullins so the pair can play in next month's FA Cup final.

The FA said it had received claims for wrongful dismissal from the two players who were sent off for violent conduct in the Premier League game at Upton Park on Wednesday (Thursday morning AEST).

"A Disciplinary Commission will hear the claims on Friday 28 April," the FA said on its website.

Eight minutes from the end of the game, which Liverpool won 2-1, Spaniard Garcia was involved in a scuffle with West Ham's Mullins and the two midfielders were sent off.

Both managers have appealed for leniency because of the May 13 Cup final when the teams meet again at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

I personally feel thewy should both get red cards, but considering its not harming anyone, why not just put the ban in effect after the FA Cup. ??
