The departure of highly rated striker David Di Michele for West Ham United from Torino has been put down to issues between the player and coach Gianni De Biasi...

David Di Michele left for London to join West Ham United at the beginning of the season, completing the move at the close of the transfer window. The much-admired Torino striker had been unsettled in Turin during pre-season and opted to join the Hammers - now managed by Gianfranco Zola - rather than staying with the Granata.

Di Michele opened his account with the club on Saturday, netting a brace against Newcastle United to announce his arrival in style. The player is settling in London and has given his reasons for his sudden departure saying, “Here in England it's fantastic. I left Torino because of De Biasi.

“He is still carrying on, but I don't care what he says.”

Di Michele's will to leave Turin won through and a move to the Hammers was subsequently completed. The striker has improved his financial situation in London, gaining an extra €500,000 a year, plus another half-a-million in playing bonuses.

What a great start for Di Michele. He was excellent at the weekend. Zola is adopting a more 1 touch style with West Ham and its looking better already after his 1st game in charge.

Di Michele moved from Serie A because he diddnt get on with his coach at Napoli, he moved to London for a bigger wage and a fresh start and i bet he couldnt be happier with that.
