Did u guys hear that there was some huge fight at this match. First the fans were stopped by gas grenades and the match could continue but then after the Di Mikele's goal's which some thought was with the help of his hand everyone went nuts going on the streets and destroying stuff. One cop got killed in this hooliganism.

FIGC ACTION AFTER POLICEMAN KILLED

The italian Football Federation (FIGC) has cancelled its entire football programme indefinitely following the death of a policeman in riots after a serie A game between Calcio Catania and US Città di Palermo on Friday night.

Filippo Raciti,a 38-year-old officer, died, while more than 100 people were injured in the disturbances outside the Stadio Angelo Massimino in Sicily.FIGC commissioner Luca Pancelli saod : "We have decided to stop all football. We need to take extreme measures against violence otherwise we cannot restart."The FIGC has also called off Italy's friendly against Romania next wednsday, and the under-21 fixture the day before against Belgium.

Its not possible...Im not surprised that this is happened at the South...some people hav to understand that football is a game and life is more important.

It seems that Italy will hav to face the same things that had to face England after the Heysel tragedy.

My respects go out to the policeman his family.. I remember a similliar incident where a policeman got killed during a match, but that time he was undercover while trying to make a stop to the fights between supporters. (which wasn't honestly the smartest idea when your alone and not wearing a uniform )
