Ok guys, the EU is close and Trap has to call up the players.

So my question to you is, which tactic would you use and what players would you call up and use.

Lets share the ideas.

I'll start.

As you know I am a fan of the 3412. Hoever, this 442 looks good also.

Oddo F.Cannavaro Nesta Zambrotta

Fiore Gattuso Totti Del Piero

Vieri Di Vaio

What do you guys think?

I think Materazzi should get the nod....hes been solid in the back before his injury...............

I expect Inzaghi to start before Di Viao and Del Piero....if he still has kept his good form in International...lately...hes been shite for milan.....

I think that yes Matrix and Inzaghi should be called but as subs.

And I dont want Camoranesi. I dont think he shold be called up.

Did you guys hear those rumors that said that Mancini of Roma, was gonna play for our NT, but found out he cant since he already played a juniores game once.

What do you guys think?

By the looks fo it, it seems Cassano has a big shot of getting called up and to me that is great. What other youngster woudl you call up?

Anyone think that Borriello or Paolo Cannavaro shoudl be caled up?

Just look at Brazil in the WC, they called up many youngsters and still managed to iwn the WC. I think all the teams and especially Italy shoudl do that. If we would do that or if we would have done that, we would have 6 WC by now.

Anyway, with Cassano, seems like Italy will have to play another type of tactic.

What do you suggest?

This is my ideal EU 2004 line up

(4-4-2): GK Buffon, RB Oddo LB Zambrotta DC Nesta DC Cannavaro MR Fiore ML Del Piero MC Gattuso MC Totti FC Vieri FC Corradi

I may be a bit biased in my selection especially by putting Corradi in attack but I feel he is a real fighter of the ball, he would be very useful to the team as he will defend and attack, not to forget his physical presence

I like Corradi a lot, as an Inter fan it was a shame to see him go after never playing a game for Inter to go on and do very well at Lazio. In fact, if I was to play a 4-4-2 my two strikers would be two from Vieri, Corradi, Miccoli and Di Vaio.

I have decided what trap should bring to portugal..............

First let's start with the ideal formation.Trap will be using a 4-2-3-1 formation

Possible starting line-up for Gli Azzurri..........

....this is a tough decision trap will have to make cause both Keepers have been outstanding in the past 2 seasons, but i still think Toldo should start before Buffon even though he will start Buffon....

Defensori: Oddo

Cannavaro Nesta Zambrotta

Well starting from the right, i definetly think Oddo should start before Panucci, he has a superb right foot cross and panucci has been off-form lately......Then Canna's and Nesta's spot is obviously taken, they both have been excellent with their respective clubs and with the national team.......Then we have Zambrotta taking the LB position who can really run up and down the flank.....but we also have a great back up, Francesco Coco who can really replace Zambrotta if he does get injured......

2 great players who can cause a big dam for the opposing side.....

Del Piero

This is a great striking force for the Azzurri with the mastermind Totti creating chances for Vieri......Del Piero will be on the left side sending crosses in the air for Vieri and Inzaghi.....

Other players that may be concluded to the squad:

C. Abbiati

C. Panucci

M. Materazzi

I Gattuso

L.Di Biagio

and if a miracle were to happen...just maybe a Roberto Baggio...

This is most likely gonna be GLI AZZURRI this summer in Portugal....good luck Italy....Bring the cup home
