Italian Super Cup 2009

Things are looking bad for Inter as they are already losing 0-2 to Lazio and as it seems they will lose this Cup.

This is a valuable trophy and as we all presumed,Inter without great fantasista will find it hard next season.

I hope this triggers Cassano's transfer...

Balotelli entered and Eto'o scored right away...

That's it,the cup goes to Lazio.

It seems that the club neglected their priorities again and they failed to realize that Inter needs a fantasista more then ever...

There is still a lot of time for Inter to complete their team...

Lazio is not a better club than Galatasaray, Besiktas or Fenerbahce...This indeed demands a fantasista.

Inter did wasted too many opportunities and although i didn't watched the game, the match reports indicate that Inter had even too many chances, but whatever happens,Mourinho knows that there won't be this many chances in the Champions League and the team can not even dream of competing with the Top European teams without a fantasista...

We lost today because:

1- We had 12 chances, 4 of them were "easy-must-score" and we only scored one goal of them

2- Lazio had 4 chances, 2 of them were "half-chance" and they managed to scored the 2 of them!

3- We do not have a proper playmaker, Deki isnt good in this position.

However I must admit I was pleased of the Eto-Milito partnership, they showed some great potentials togther.

^ Sounds like a Turkey vs. Germany semi-final in Euros .

Anyway, I don't know what you bought Thiago Motta for. Maybe he was a part of the Genoa package...But I'd buy some fantasista instead of him. You have enough (or too much) central/defensive midfielders, but you lack in offensive-minded ones. Someone like Misimovic would be perfect, but he's an unrealistic target. Cassano would be an ideal player for this position as well.

Didn't watch the match either, but from all the reports I've read, it sounds like Inter played really well. I'd also keep in mind that it's early and so missed chances can be expected since the team isn't yet at 100% precision. Eto'o and Milito apparently had an excellent partnership, while Inter tried out that new high defensive line. If we get Mourinho his trequartista (easier said than done), we'll be in fantastic shape.

Salt_the_Fries, Motta finally had a full year with a clean slate of health at Genoa, and the result was some dominant performances (including against Juve). His all-around talent really came together and Inter could use a midfield general. His height will also help on set pieces.

So Inter do have a need for him, but they also have another need for that trequartista.
