Coppa Italia '09 Inter vs Sampdoria

how come we don´t have a thread on our favourite Coppa Italia?

So the game starts on Rai 1 in 4 mins, hope it is not encoded on satellite. We miss too many players, but fielding a good squad. Juventus will take the game too personally, so beating them will be joyful and also shut their supporters for a while.

Forza Inter!

half time 0-0 ... burdisson red card very early in the game ... im not sure if it was a red card because rivas was in line with del piero so cant say if it was last man ... but nyway for 10 men almost all of whom are reserves wer not playing too bad ... juve arent taking advantage of numerical superiority ... they have more possession im hoping we can sneak in a goal in the second half against the run of play ... hm atalanta 2 - 1 milan

FT 2-2 quite an entertaining game ... unbelievable we were up 2-0 with 10 men (scoring first goal with 9 men) ... its a pity we let them draw but their first goal came wen we were in 9 and eventually the team just got tired ... gr8 performance imo cruz is in incredible form could have got a hattrick in the end ... first time i saw maniche play for us he was pretty good quite creative at times ... Pele also had a great game he gave a great assist to cruz for the first goal and from den on his confidence soared ... he was defending the ball like zanetti hehe ... rivas was pretty gd too ... im pretty sure we'll be able to beat them next week in turin

Very professional looking, ReMad . I commend the use of Inter's centenary logo.

Syntex, I was impressed with Pele too. He certainly showed some flashes, even playing against Juve. In a couple years we could be talking about what a bargain he was. He either becomes a good player for Inter or useful as a pawn when signing someone else...

I now prefer Rivas at centerback to Burdisso. And I'm further convinced that Mancini is right to prefer Cordoba to the Argentine. Burdisso's main quality is his versatility off the bench. Otherwise, he's just not good enough to start at any position on a regular basis.

Brave stuff from Inter. A shame Materazzi got hurt, otherwise Inter probably win 2-0 despite the early dismissal. Does anyone know if Coppa Italia uses the away goals rule?

Considering the fact that they played with their best team and Inter with it's second + with 10 men,you can pretty much agree that only with 10 men could Juve be competitive against inter...If there was another they would've got their asses kicked all over the place which will happen on Dele Alpi...They are concentrating on the SCudetto ...

It's true that Cordoba has been playing better than in years. Can't really understand why, because he's never appeared a smart defender, just fast and tough. Maybe it's all about Inter's new confidence. He's the one that usually caused red cards and penalties in the past.
