Inter-Milan: It’s war over Suazo

nter chief Massimo Moratti has told Milan that they have not yet landed David Suazo. “The player has already signed for us,” he blasted.

The Cagliari star was expected to join the Italian champions this summer, but the Rossoneri have hijacked the move after striking an agreement with the Sant'Elia outfit late last night.

“There was no reason for this to happen seeing as there was already a deal with the Rossoblu,” noted Moratti on Tuesday.

“Nevertheless, we will have to see what happens now because the player has already signed for us.”

Sardinian chief Massimo Cellino claimed earlier today that talks with the Nerazzurri had collapsed after failing to get hold of Moratti over the last few days.

“He never called me,” responded the oil tycoon. “That’s a lie. I cannot justify Milan’s attitude either, although I know them well…”

Cagliari have defended their sale to Milan and sporting director Nicola Salerno insist they owe no explanation to Inter.

“The negotiations were ongoing and we needed to close the deal as soon as possible,” said the official to Sky Italia.

“The player had not signed and therefore there was no bond. Galliani and Cellino found an agreement and the deal was done.

“I will not discuss the financial details, all I will say is that there were some bureaucratic problems connected to the transfers of Marco Andreolli and Robert Acquafresca from Inter to us.”

Milan will reportedly pay £10m for Suazo after Marco Borriello refused to be included in a player plus cash switch.

...Why does Inter insists on this Suazo???We should chase Tevez damn it he's flurting with Real Madrid...Screw this Cagliari fire cracker...I hope Milan signs him...He might be valuable for them in the next season, the guy is probably talented, but i doubt he's more talented then Tevez...

100% agree with you all.. Im so gad we didnt get suazo.. let`s concentrate on some super deal.. it`s our anniversre Moratti (100 years Inter ) we deserve a "transfer of the year"!!! right?

I agree that Moratti shouldn't begin a war over Suazo. It's a bit embarrassing to have Milan snap him from under our noses like that but stuff like that happens. After all, Suazo was supposed to join Roma before Inter went for him.

We have plenty of other options for the attack and yes, Tevez is definitely interesting. But I'll say this once again (sorry if I bore you guys) WHAT WE REALLY NEED is a playmaker and also another defensive midfielder.

The thing that sucks about Inter, like many other 'big' European clubs (eg. Real Madrid) is that it buys 'star players' or 'emerging talents' only to keep them on the bench. It's good that Suazo didn't go to Inter because they probably would have let him play a few games, benched him, and then traded/sold him.

Yes, except Mancini (Inter's coach) is a huge fan of Suazo, so he would have had a good chance to play often. Perhaps Suazo is likely to play less with Milan than he might have with Inter.

Yup, we're in big trouble if we end up relying on Dacourt again like we did last season. While I prefer someone younger, I wonder what Emerson's status is at Real Madrid?

And I'm a bit disappointed that we aren't hearing more rumors of Inter's pursuit of an attacking midfielder.
