Quaresma is Figo alternative Tuesday 27 February, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Inter have targeted Ricardo Quaresma of Porto as a replacement for the departing Luis Figo, according to reports.

The Nerazzurri are searching for young blood as the Portuguese winger will leave the club in June after agreeing to an Arabian switch, despite Massimo Moratti’s attempts to keep him.

Quaresma started his career with Sporting in his homeland before completing a dream move to Barcelona in 2003.

However, the 23-year-old had a frosty relationship with boss Frank Rijkaard and joined Porto just12 months later.

Quaresma has been impressive since his last switch and the player, dubbed as Harry Potter because of his magical skills, has also caught the eye of Atletico Madrid and Chelsea.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese international is said to be happy at his present club and still has three years left to run on his contract.

Should Inter fail to land the winger, they may make a move for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, reports in Spain on Tuesday insist that the former Sporting ace is set for a summer switch to Real Madrid instead

Meanwhile, Inter are also again being associated with Argentine playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme.

The Villarreal midfielder is currently on loan with Boca Juniors and is highly considered by Coach Roberto Mancini..

...Quaresma is a brilliant player...Cristiano will cost lot more and the difference between them bouth is just too short....Quaresma has lot more charizma and stile...but for the time being Ronaldo Cristiano ...is perhaps better...he plays for a better club and that's the catch...Quaresma is not that exponed but those few differences might change if he's about to arrive in the best team in the world...(watch the statistics....WATCH THE DAMN STATISTICS)...If Mancio wants him nothing can stop Moratti for buying him... ...He can be awesome as a half winger in the 4-3-3 formation...That would be a brilliant aquisition...and he wont cost like Hell... ..

I prefer Quresma than Ronaldo.. He`s alot cheaper and he is as much brilliant as Ronaldo most of the time.. and then Moratti can use this money to buy a super star or even to invest it in some young talannted players from the Latin countries.. there are many of players who are as brilliant as Robinho and Ronnie that are waiting for a chance to come to Europe.
