Juve appeal to TAR

Juventus officially presented their Calciopoli appeal to the TAR Lazio tribunal on Thursday, ignoring the FIGC and FIFA’s angry warnings.

The Bianconeri failed in their conciliation with the Italian Football Federation last week and decided on Monday to lodge an appeal to the civil court, in the hopes of being reinstated to Serie A.

Juve were stripped of two Scudetti and demoted to Serie B with a 17-point deduction as a consequence of the match-fixing scandal.

The Turin club decided to continue its legal fight, ignoring the threatening statements coming from both the Italian and International Federation.

The FIGC stated they were ready to dock even more points if any scandal-hit club were to go to the civil courts.

FIFA confirmed on Wednesday that the situation would be “monitored carefully” and further decisions might be taken, should the circumstances require them.

The TAR Lazio may now schedule an extra hearing in August to specifically discuss Juve’s case.

The new season is set to kick-off on September 9 and both the FIGC and the Lega Calcio have guaranteed that there will be no further delays.

...Juventus is annoying everyone and im personally pissed as Hell ... ...there should be extra punishments and even Fifa should interfire with this...this is outrageous...they are as guilty as anyone can be and they ereceived a double court decision by the FederalCalcio...civil court has no business with seria A competition...as i've read Lazio civil court had participated in lot of contraversial decisiones and scandals and being that it cant reach an objective and ratinal decision...Juve is sinking even deeper...there must be sanctions for this outrage and disrespect to the Sport Tribunal....

The biggest problem here is that all this court business TAKES TIME, so serie A will start later. And then Italian clubs will find it difficult to compete in CL, because they have play against teams from countries who already have league matches behind them.

This is what really annoys me.

dont worry man the italian federation announced tht the serie A wont be delayed again and it will start on 9 septembre but the problem is that Inter will play in CL on the 13 septembre and it will be only after 1 match in the league.
