...it's ridiculous not to see that after the news that CASSANO is free to go...Inter arent being linked with him....apperantle JUVE left him for MILAN... ...there isnt any space in MILAN.S forward for him...but if by any chanse they sign CASSANO they will have even better forward asrenal from REAL....we need a world class striker and it's frustrating not to see some news or rumor about CASSANO being linked with INTER.... ....is MORATTI afright to invest his cash in a world class ass kicker like CASSANO????he fooled us with FIGO so now were satisfyed eh???...in the past we signed forwards when there wasnt any need for them...now when we obviously need a world class forward all i see is INTER being linked with some average strikers...like DI VAIO...MICCOLI and others...JUVE and MILAN reinfoirced their forwards stratosphericaly...and we're still holding CRUZ...VIERI left the team and he should be replaced with a high profile forward...ifg MORATTI offloaded BOBO for FIGO to receive his ridiculously high wages than he's an idiot....im not against VIERI'S departure i newer liked him...but we cant deny that he was and still is high profile forward...so we need a logical subtitution for him...it's sad to see that the only INTER player in the national squad is MATERAZZI.... ...CASSANO transfer will be exremely compatitive signing and another world class player in our team...the guy is the best possible partner for ADRIANO... ....

Isn't Cassano's contract up after this year? Unless I'm mistaken, maybe it would just be better to wait a year and save the 20+ million. Plus, we can finally give Recoba his chance. And if Cassano chooses a different club or re-signs with Roma before then, that would be fine cause it would mean Inter weren't his preference anyway. Come on Elcino, do we really need that high profile forward that badly? I mean look at the forwards Chelsea had a year ago...Gudjohnson? Kezman? Our forwards are already much better than theirs, even with Crespo's return I'd say. And yet they'll be favorites for the EPL again. If somehow both Martins and Recoba flop, and I don't think they both will, we can just play Adriano by himself and let someone else from our overcrowded midfield play, which we know Adriano can do well from his Parma days.

Now's not the best time to get Cassano, when in a year's time he can leave for free. I still question his temperment as a champion and don't rank him among the worldclass forwards yet. He's yet to prove himself in my eyes. Let's see how he manages this season (assuming he;s not frozen out) and at the worldcup .And if we are to get a flop, then might as well get one on a free transfer

i dont think inter needs cassano, and i dont think he is that good, a bit overrated to me, and i agree with ryan27, i think it would be better to play adriano by himself, and run a five man midfield, with 2 attacking centre mids, to support him

I see what people are saying about playing Adriano up front on his own because during the Confed.Cup he did so and was supported by attacking midfielders. But we have to remember that the players in support were world class creators, Kaka, Ronaldinho and Robinho. Inter has nobody of that quality and most of our most creative midfielders prefer to cause havoc from a deeper position; Pizarro and Veron.

Until we have an attacking midfielder of the quality that Brazil have I think that we should play with two attackers. Oba Martins can do the job alongside Adriano perfectly. But I don't want us to look back in three years time when Cassano is a champion at Juve or Milan and think to ourselves, 'shit that's another missed opportunity to sign the world's best.'

This isnt good.

If i'm not wrong, 2004, we had Toldo, Coco, Cannavaro, Materazzi, Cristiano Zanetti and Vieri all in the national team.

Inter was at the EC with most NT players from all the countries, 14 if i'm not wrong.

BTW, Cassano - Adriano.......

It is true that we do need more Italian players, especially as there are going to be new rules introduced where a fraction of our squad needs to be Italian....apparently it could rise up to 50%

. I think next summer, now that our squad is more or less complete we should go for Grosso as our new LB and Cassano as Adriano's partner up front. Esposito can then follow as a replacement for Figo .

Giorgio, as usual, you have sound reasoning and I think YOU need to be managing Inter because Moratti doesn't seem to be thinking that way.
