Best Youth Systeam?

Highway Penguin2010-05-08 05:15:56 +0000 #1
Who do you think has produced the best youth in Spain?

Real?

Barca?

Betis?

Villarreal?

Atletico?

Who?

Give reasons as well.

Barca as done very well, as well as Real.

They've got lots of players out of Spain and to other clubs all over Europe.

Barca ! They have consistently produced future stars. Puyol,Xavi,Gabri,Gerard were products of the youth system . Now we have Valdes, Oleguer, Iniesta, Damia, Messi, Sergio garcia breaking into the first team (although Barca loaned out Sergio garcia)

I agree.

I think Barca has done very well to bring up great players. I'm happy to see that, as the NT will need this.

And i do think Real has also very good youth system. Portillo,Mejia,Pavon just to name a few. But Perez's policy of Galacticos does not really do much of a favour to the youth players. He shouldve nurture them to become great stars. For example,Puyol. He was the weak links in the Barca defence few years ago. Now he is regarded as one of the best in world.

So, I must be from another world; because I don't agree never. In my opinion, is Real Madrid (again) the best in this term.

You only have to see, not only people as Guti, Raul, Casillas or Portillo. There are people like Etoo or Mista, young stars who started playing soccer in the young teams of Real. Real Madrid is the developer of the new clause "I sell you this guy but he can't play against us". If you notice, we lost a half of the matches that ruined our past season under the feet of people like Fernando Sanz or Ricky.

Equis5 ,I know how true of a Madridista you are and how passionate you are of Real Madrid. But Barca still have the best youth system. And by the word "youth system",you have to take "how you manage & deal with the youngsters" into account.

And Madrid have not been good at this. They have let good potential players go. As you pointed out for example,Mista.Madrid wanted him to play in Madrid B to gain promotion but he was unhappy and let him go. Last year,he was top spanish scorer in la liga. And then Eto'o,Madrid wanted him loaned out for another year and again Eto'o was unhappy,so Barca snatched him.Now look who's been banging goals all season long?

You see my point? Madrid have treated the youngsters badly and this proves to be critical especially at this period of time when Real really need to offload the galacticos and inject new blood to the squad.

Just my two cents and im sure Equis5 won't agree with a Barca fan like me

There is no arguement, Barca has produced a lot of talent lately, and in the past.

Casillas, Raul, Portillo, Mejia, Guti, and so on are all good, but I think that Barca have made lots of good talent.

Yes, Riki is good, but not that good.

I love Real, but you've got to be honest to yourself.

There were players who started here, but Perez sold them off, I don't think we can take responsibility for their success.

Highway, Etoo was nobody when he came to Madrid, and Barça paid 24 million € past summer.

Nuaro, I agree with you about the bad management of our kids, but I notice you that this happens only some years ago.

The bad management, as you said, "explodes" when a youth star playing in "B" team has chances to play in the "A" team.

But the control system in the lower categories is the same as ever, the one who gave us, from Raul, Casillas, Guti; to Butragueño, Amancio, Camacho, Real Madrid "ye-yé"...

In tho other side, you say that Barça has the best Youth system, but we have seen what's happened with Cesc, De la Peña, Celades...
