Atletico de Madrid back and impressive

Two draws have been the story so far, one of them a respectable result in the Camp Nou.

But today Atleti knew to impress indeed with a 4:0 crushing of Mallorca at the island. Main man behind this success was young gun Fernando Torres, who stepped up to show what he's able to do, scoring 2 goals. Atleti-offence Veteran Correa and Jorge were the other scorers.

I myself am kind of an admirer of the red-white side (well, everything Anti-Real ) and therefor happy to see them on a way back to the top where they belong.

Anyone got some info on this Torres kid? Height, weight, age type of striker, what side he plays one? Is he better than Reyes of Sevilla?

C. At. De Madrid is the only club I actually like in Spain.

Well ... I once read an interview with Torres. In the article they wrote he's compared to the young Raúl. Therefor they asked him if he may once leave Atletico de Madrid for Real Madrid or another club, and he answered: "My grandad tought me that there's only one club which happens to be Club Atletico de Madrid".

I love loyal players.

It´s nice to see Atletico back where they belong, so we can stuff them in the Madrid derby =P

About Fernando Torres, he is 18 right now, 1,81 meters and 78 kilos. I liken him to a young Raul too, but with better heading skills (that´s my impression). About the comparision with Reyes, I don´t really know who is better, since they have different characteristics. Reyes is more of a support striker, while Torres is a natural goalscorer. In fact, they were the forward couple for the Spain U-19 team that recently won the European Championship.

Since we use feet/inches for height and pounds for weight here in the States, i'll just assume he's Raul's size.

He is 6 feet, 175 pounds. Arond that.

As was mentioned before he is a little under 6 feet tall or around there. He is a bit skinny but he is certainly bigger than Raul.

Reyes and Torres are completely different players. Not really a valid comparison but they do play well together (perhaps the Spanish NT pairing of the future?).
