Training back to normal

Marc Guillén / Jordi Clos

Following the changes brought on by the snow, it was all back to normal today with Henry and Puyol training normally and Keita also involved at the end.

Thursday’s session came after Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper came after a day off on Wednesday, and with the snow gone, pitch number one was in perfect condition again. It was still colder than normal, but otherwise it was business as usual.

Henry and Puyol, problem free

21 players were involved, including reserve team members Muniesa, who also trained on Tuesday, and Oier. Thierry Henry and Carles Puyol were also back in action after being slightly troubled by Achilles tendon and back problems respectively.

Keita back in action

Tant Seydou Keita and Éric Abidal have both moved into a new stage of recovery. The midfielder worked in isolation for the first half of the session, while the full back only appeared for a short jogging session.

The substitutions make more sense to me now.

Piqué and Milito both forced off

www.fcbarcelona.cat: www.fcbarcelona.cat

Barca’s two centre halves both limped off during the Zaragoza game and they will undergo tests on Monday to assess the extent of their injuries.

For both Pique and Milito this was always going to be a special game against the team they formed a solid defensive pairing for in the 2006/07 season, but unfortunately it ended badly for them both as they were forced off with injuries in the second half.

Piqué suffers knee trouble

Gerard Piqué was the first to go down; coming off on 63 minutes with a problem on his left knee and just four minutes later Milito followed him off the pitch with calf trouble. Carles Puyol came on for Pique and Marquez replaced Milito.

The two will undergo tests to establish the full extent of their injuries on Monday.

I hope Pique is better before the game at London.
