Barcelona ready to cash in on Saviola

Barcelona are ready to put Javier Saviola on the open market.

The Argentina international is currently on-loan at Sevilla and while president Jose Maria del Nido has indicated he'd like to sign the striker, he is still to make a serious approach to Barca about negotiations.

Saviola is contracted to Barca until 2007 and the Spanish champs want to cash in on him this summer. His name is expected to be circulated across Europe with an asking price of £8 million - unless Del Nido makes a concrete move to open serious negotiations over a deal for the Argie.

exactly, i mean yea saviola was vintage barca but the results and titles was just not coming in

Yeah ur right. I hope he ends up at villarreal, that would be a brilliant move for him linking up with Riquelme!!!!!!

nha i think he is doing great at sevilla he fits in great there, plus the villarreal play style is very diffenent form all other tactics of the different teams

That would be good, he would meet his Argentinian buddies there, Riquelme, Sorin and Barbosa.

Not to offend Saviola fans, but we don't need him. We got Eto'o and our younger future.
