Sneijder Will Be Available Against Valencia

Lady luck might not have smiled on Real Madrid lately but today the club did finally receive some good news as Christmas approaches.

The defending La Liga champions have been told that Wesley Sneijder, who limped off against Barcelona at the weekend, is not seriously injured, and should be able to play against Valencia.

It was previously feared that the Dutch international could have suffered a serious injury after El Clásico but Marca reports that this is not the case.

The news will both please and surprise Juande Ramos, who earlier predicted he would have Arjen Robben back but not Sneijder for the last game of the year.

The midfielder will continue to train and recover in the next few days, and as was the case at the weekend, it will be up to the coach whether or not he plays.

On this occasion he is expected to be fit, but Ramos will have to decide whether to gamble and risk him again, or save him for the new year.

Real Madrid fell to sixth in the table after their defeat by Barcelona on Saturday - and should they lose to Valencia they could fall as low as eighth.
