Real Madrid invite offers for Baptista

April 16, 2008

Real Madrid are inviting offers for midfielder Julio Baptista.

AS says Baptista has dropped off the first team radar in the second-half of the season and sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has already been given the green light from president Ramon Calderon to find a buyer for the Brazilian.

It's been mooted Mijatovic may use Baptista as a makeweight in a bid for Sevilla's £20 million-rated fullback Daniel Alves.

is about damn time

oh man i hope he doesn't go, he is a good attacking midfielder. He managed to score some good goals this season. I think the problem is that schuster doesn't give him enough minutes.

with 3+ players returning from laons and abotu 3 or 4 new buys i think we would have enough cover, plus baptisita is nothing special, he's just some brute force, more for the epl not for la liga,

No man, he is a brilliant player, how many times he saved us this season, in the half of the season when realmadrid were in top form, he was in the first line-up, he is quick specially on counter attacks, the games against barca and lazio he was phenomenal. and we will need him specially if people like guti and sneijder are injured or suspended
