"Zinedine Zidane will make his final club appearance today for Real Madrid against Villarreal.

The fans are planning a tribute to Zidane, and Real coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro and Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini combined to pay tribute to the French master.

Lopez Caro said: "Zizou is an example in his way of doing things. To find someone as good as him you have to go back to previous generations.

"He is the best in the world, also as a person.''

Pellegrini said: "It's an honour and a pride. He has been a star and a gentleman in all respects.''

However, the Chilean coach claims the club will not be trying to give Zidane a winning send-off but will be playing the role of party poopers.

Pellegrini said: "We always go onto the pitch with a winning mentality whoever we are playing and especially at a place like Real Madrid although we will be no more motivated for this match than we would at any other.''

Zizou, I dont think we will ever see a player stand out as u did. What a remarkable player throug a whole decade. U will go into history as one of the all time greatest!

You will always be the best! Dear Zizou, thank you for all you did! Not only for Real Madrid, but for France`s national team, and foR the world! You made us breathe football, and we love it because of you! You really were charmed on the field and gave us incredible moments, moments we`ll never forgive! We`ll always love you and we won`t forget you and what you did for the club! WIthout you, Real Madrid won`t be the same, and no player can replace you! I wish you could played more, because you are one of the best players of the world and it`s extremely sad seeing you leaving!

Zizou is simple the best soccer player I've every seen.

am so glad that he scored on his last home game (meanwhile the handicap Raul misses 3 breakaways!)

Raul almost stole Zizou's goal too lol...

Zidane was truely one of the best footballers to have graced the earth. One of the best I've ever seen.

I shouted so hard when I saw raul diving to steal the credit of Zidane!! When other players were trying to feed Zizou with passes and opportunities to score (as in the first freekick), Raul was trying very hardly, very cheaply, to steal his magnificent goal!!

Raul is a shame, a true shame to real madrid and to Spanish football. Zidane at his worst shape this season at the age of 33, missing more than 9 games this season and playing in midfield has scored 8 goals (4 with his right foot, 3 with his left, 1 header) + 9 assists, while Raul the pure stricker has scored 5, yes only 5.. and dont tell me he was injured, well he played more than 10 games after his recovery, yet he didnt find the net, WHAT AN IDIOT!!

boys, we are here to expres our opinion about Zidane, not about Raul!

I would simply say, Thank you for the opportunity to watch you perform, it has been a privilege.

Yes, occasionally there will be a great player to grace the game, but as with all unique artisitc talents, we will NOT see another like Zidane. Cheers.
