Real fans outside Spain

I'm involved in a long discussion with another member in the forum "World Soccer" (thread "Club with the biggest amount of supporters in the world"), and my affirmation that Real Madrid has many supporters outside Spain is being seen as "hypothetical" (and that such fans aren't real fans), although I find it obvious.

I'd like to ask you guys who are Real fans, where are you from? Do you have a direct connection to Spain or just to Real Madrid?

Hmmm... I think that second (just after Man. United) Real has the largest amount of fans outside its home country.

Im from Denmark, and have been a fan for more than 10 years. I have 4 mates who meet on every Championsleague event with Madrid involved. And who can be considered higly loyal fans as well.

ha, denmark is everywhere recently!!

i'm in copenhagen too..

I've been a socio for years, # 335.634, and am very loyal to the club. Its the only football club i have ever whole heartedly supported, and I'm proud to have been loyal to the club during the last years' slump where fake fans chose to convert to Barca or Chelsea.

If all goes to plan, i'll be sitting in Highbury when Real come for the return leg on 8th march.. Beckham's first game in England in El Camiseta Blanca.

I'm from young and small, but very cosy Euro country - Estonia.

I'm the fan of RM maybe for 3 years, I think I'm a loyal fan. Gotta admitt that I was a Barca fan b4, but when Rivaldo was kicked out, I thought that Real will purchase him, cuz they showed their interest, so I started to adapt for RM, and even after Riva's move to Milan, I could not help not to bcome a RM fan, it is an amazing club.

Riva is still gr8!!!

Hi guys,

You'd be surprised to know that I have been following Real Madrid from the time of Sukur and Zamarano, Loved the team when Redondo played and even Panuchi. And i am from INDIA!!!!!!!!..... no clear reason as to why is started following. I think i saw a match once and they way they played with grace and passion. It was out of the world. I think they even lost that particular match. But something about the team won me over and then i was obcessed. It was more a case of Love at first sight!!!!!!!!!!........ have followed them through the wins and losses. Have fought for the team and even cried when they lost. I LOVE REAL MADRID. and one day i plan to go to Spain and watch them in person. That would be the highlight of my life.

For a month I was a barca fan(last year), but then i realized it just wasn't the same, i love to see madrid play, i like the team uniform and i'm never going to stop liking it even though it's facing hard times, robinho's transfer was also something that made me become a bigger fan since i like the way he plays .

I also like the fact that everyone likes madrid and you can see a lot of fans aynwhere, the other day in the news i saw some poor zones of peru and saw a guy wearing a "THE GALACTICOS" shirt, which was obviously a Real Madrid fake :P, also when i went to the stadium i saw a guy with a RM shirt, it's just an international fever i think but i do love the team and players, no matter the results.

I've always been a massive fan of Michael Laudrup and was supporting Barca the time he played there. So when he moved to Real Madrid, I moved as well and been there ever since, around 12 years now and I'll be there till the day I die no matter what.....
