Champions League 2nd round ... Madrid chances?

r0naldo4life2010-05-09 18:37:02 +0000 #1
ok then.. all the 1st place teams and 2nd place teams have been decided..

here it is

1st place teams:----------------------2nd place teams:

Juventus-------------------------------Bayern Munich

Barcelona--------------------------------Werder Bremen

Ac Milan--------------------------------PSV Eindhoven

Lyon---------------------------------------Real Madrid

Inter Milan-----------------------------Glasgow Rangers

Teams in red are teams that we can be placed against in the 2nd round..

1st place teams that arnt in red are team that we cant play YET only becoz they are from Spain. Lyon is in blue and we cant play them becoz we came from the same group..

our chances dont look too bright.. with our back from injury team, and our no coach period and all these problems we're going thru..'s my opinions about the teams we could be playing..

starting off with:

well.. we've played them more than a couple of times.. and i dont c us in a position to be the team to kick them out of the CL..

they've got a very strong squad.. stronger than last yr..

and well.. looking at our history with them.. it doesnt look too nice..

well.. i wouldnt want us to face off against the likes of henry , van persie and CO..

theyve got one of the strongest offences in the world atm appart from barca..

so? id rather not play them untill we're more settled and got a few more reenforcements..

Ac Milan:

well.. who can even doubt the power of milan..? after the Shalke game , they will want to bounce back.. they have an amazing but ageing squad..

a remarkable attacking force.. and a even stronger midfield.. not mentioning the gr8 players in defence and ofcourse DIDA in the back..

would be a really gr8 game against them but i wouldnt expect to come out victorious..

Liverpool: ( the champs )

well.. this would be the only team that i wouldnt be scared playing..

althout they'll be out trying to defend their title.. but they've got hmmm.. how will i say this.. the weakest offence from the teams we could play..

their defence isnt the best although the many clean sheets they have been stocking up..

i think we would do ok against them, big chances for both teams..

Inter Milan:

well... let them field Figo, Samuel, Solari, Cambiossa only against our whole team and they wouldnt let us win..

a gr8 teams although the few problems they have been going thru..

adriano really scares me.. and so does all their team.

against us, theyd slaughter us.. well thats my opinion..

now thats all from me.. lets hear ur opinions

sorry for bursting all ur bublbes.. if any1 had the slightest hope of making it thru to the next round then i have destroyed it

lolol.. so wat do u guys think?

Like i said in another thread, we stand no chance against any of these teams with our current squad and players condition. But if we improve our game, and only then, we can have a chance against Arsenal who have their own troubles and they are not in great form either. The other teams that we can knock out are Inter Milano and FC Liverpool. Inter has a great team, no doubt about that, the only team in Italy that i like. But they also have some problems and are definitely not as strong as JUve or MIlan ( maybe i'll review my post after the Milan-Inter derby at the weekend). And LIverpool... well... i can't say they're great, don't even like them but they are one hell of a lucky team, though i enjoyed myself when they beat MIlan in the CL Final last season.

So i believe that we stand a chance against these 3 teams, but ONLY if we starg playing REAL football. Against Juve or Milan, from my point of view, we are doomed

our best bet is either liverpool or Arsenal,

with liverpool just close down gerrad and perhpas garica and w in business

and Arsenal, samething with henry, and i think P.garica would handle Van Perise, and remember do more Viera

There is a long time 'till the knock out games. During this long break Real can stabilize and reinforce.

With Juve we have bad memories and they are playing really well always. So hopefully not the old lady.

AC Milan is the second really tough one.

I can't see why Arsenal would be too good. They had a quite easy group. Also Liverpool have not been that convincing as champs.

aww. Things would be so much better if we had won the group. Easier opponents / someone must knock Chelsea out...hehe

be, plus if we get ballack and we already have guti, gerrad wouldnt be able to come around,

I think Arsenal...They perform very low, nothing interesting. About Liverpool...don't think we can handle them, they drew with Chelsea 2 times, and Chelsea...well it's CHELSEA, one who crashed Barca last CL.

But anyway, if real will try they can handle anyone, we got the coach(not the best one), but we got the best players in the world. Raul couldn't do anything even if he wasn;t injured, Baptista - the replacement. Real can go throuh...

i would like real vs juve, they r the best, and its pur best chance 2 show who is realmadrid

on the other hand, we could get rid off the best team, knockng juve out will make it a lot easier 2 reach the cup

lets have our confidence baq

its only the fans who put real in bad situations
