Bayern 2 Eintracht Frankfurt 1

Van Buyten seals crucial last-gasp win

Daniel van Buyten headed a last-gasp winner as Bayern came from behind to record a crucial Bundesliga win over an uninspired but stubborn Frankfurt side on Saturday.

The 69,000 capacity crowd at the Allianz Arena saw a patchy first half with few chances, although Luca Toni was desperately unlucky to hit the post shortly before the break. The men in red dominated possession after the restart, only for Alexander Meier to hand Frankfurt the lead totally against the run of play on the hour.

Sub Arjen Robben levelled ten minutes later and Martin Demichelis made a comeback from a ten-week lay-off before the end, but it was Van Buyten, operating as an emergency striker, who netted the late but deserved winner with two minutes to play.

Finally we win a league game for once, its been a while since we won one, but injuries have been killing us all season long, I just hope Ribery recovers in time against Juventus but we will see what happens. We should of really won this game like 4-1 or 3-1 we missed so many chances in the first half that it could of easily been a goal fest if we converted our chances better but luca toni seems to be have rotten luck infront of the dam net

Well its been an up and down season this year for us again, I don't know what it is but injuries have been killing us all season long we never seem to find the rhythm to play the right players at the right time, I don't blame the Coach for this at all because if your going to win on a consistent basis than your going to need players to be fit and fight on the field and thats something the team hasn't showed yet.. Were currently in 5th place with 18 points, 4 points back from top spot, I just hope we finish top 3 this season so we can have a spot for CL next season, With this kind of slump that bayern has been in I seriously don't think we deserve the title simply because we need luck to win, the past couple of games we have been very lucky to win games because we have literally no one that can finish the ball, we create chances but we are so damm unlucky just like Luca Toni has been all season long..

Who's the current coach now... i don't even know that man

...Seems like the players lost their concentrations the whole season so far...every teams has had injuries it shouldn't be an excuse anymore. I think the whole bayern team need to really sit down and get the players spirit back up again. I even read Luca Toni keep talking about leaving bayern too. Yeah u were right bayern don't deserve to be title champion the way things were going so will be lucky for bayern to made it to top 3. I really don't want bayern munich to be one of those club where top players go only to had their careers ended there..

Geez, I am amazed Bayern has the ribery robben combo and they are no where near the top spot.

Things happened you know lol .....but at least bayern are improving with the last game. Sometimes it's good to be at the bottom so we be more appreciatives of being to the top spot again someday..

Thomas Muller really impressed me this season. He's very versatile and can play in various positions. I believe he was even a defensive midfielder at times, yet still scores/assists. Very good investment for the future
