Name: Sotir Nini

Club: Panathinaikos

Position: Midfielder

Number: 37

Nationality: Albanian

born: 3 Prill 1990

height: 1.73 m

weight: 69 kg

The 16 year old talent Player Sotir Nini curretnly playing for Panathinakos, is having a good start allready, the young player allready has got fame in Albania and elsewhere, The Albanian u21-national team has allready made a call on him to jon the team, but it looks like he hasnt decided yet, in the other hand the greek national team without any right has also made a call on Nini to join their team, which in my knowglede makes no sense how can greeks call him, when he is not greek !!

Allthough Sotir Nini hasnt answered yet the Albanian Nt call, and if he sudenly chooses to play for greece which is foolish choice and not his own country then really he is a big Traitor !!

what do you think?

He is a very big talent. The Greeks will put pressure on him and his family. I think he will turn out to be a traitor but hopefully he wont make that mistake. There is a history of bad things that happen to players who dont choose Albania. It is like they get cursed. Look at Behrami he hasnt played in a year. There is a very big possibility he might get called up against Macedonia, but if he doesnt accept the invite then you can write him off.

His name is Sotirios Ninis and that is a Greek name! Ninis is a Greek from Hemara which has a strong Greek minority and he has lived in Greece since he was 1 years old and he has already rejected Albanias offer as far as I know so stop claiming him please!

OK here is my opinion! Have this guy family claimed either Greek or Albanian heritage in the past! Also is this guy's name Greek or Albanian in nature. Because from I understand their are ethnic Greeks who live in Albania for Hundreds of years? I not taking any sides until I see further info.

His name is Sotirios Ninis which is a Greek name and he has lived in Greece since he was 1 years old! Sotirios Ninis was born in Hemara which has a strong Greek minority and he is of Greek Orthodox faith! Not to mention Ninis imigrated to Greece the same year most of the Greeks of Albania imigrated to Greece after the fall of communism.

The thing is he has never called himself Sotir so I don't know where the Albanians here got that name from.

Panathinaikos in his Birth Certificate and Passport his name is Sotir Nini, as for whatever name you may call him in Greece that is up to you. As far as the minority in Himara is concerned you should also know that there are alot of Albanians that live there too. His family is not of Greek minority in Albania although u may like to think so. He did not reject Albanias offer he just said he needs time to think and Panathinaikos did not respond well to the leter from the Albanian FA. In the recent article Nini stated " I have not made up my mind for the NT yet" He did not reject the Albanian offer.
