No competition?

Dinamo is owning the HNL as usual lol they have no competition... Rijeka and Hajduk are not what they once were and the league is not as interesting.

So what is everyones thought on some sort of a combined league? Bosnian, Croatian and maybe the Slovenian league or something combined to increase competition. Some people were talking about a league with all the former yugo republics but that would not be good as every game between croatian/bosnian clubs vs serbian clubs would have incidents of violence. Really though it would increase the competition and develop the players more.

I could see a league with the clubs from Croatia, BiH and Slovenia. Dinamo, Hajduk, Sarajevo, Koper, Zrinjski, Domzale, Zeljo ect fighting for the championship would be very interesting.

There would be a lot of trouble already between Bosnian clubs and Croatian clubs from Croatia. What can you expect from a Dinamo vs Sarajevo game? As for the Serbian league, I would never want to join with a former Yugoslav Republic only to raise the quality. Basketball is already using this system and it is not the best of ideas. The vast majority of people in Serbia are against the basketball united league. Now, Serbian and Croatian hockey clubs will be playing in the same league, five clubs from Serbia and two from Croatia. It will be called the Panonian League.

With a better quality and tougher league the players develop much better. Having this sort of league would increase attendence at the games, interest in the league, better development of young talents ect. Bosnian league is pretty competetive with almost every team fighting for a top spot but the quality of the teams are low, Croatian league is completely dominated by 1 team and has low quality teams, dont know/care much about the Slovenian leage .

^^ Yeah really... Last real success any of the teams from the past few years enjoyed was Partizan in the CL and god knows they didnt do well.

You got to admit though, Dinamo, Hajduk, Sarajevo, Zeljo, Zvezda, Partizan in the same league would be something special the world would want to tune into. Thinking about watching such a match in such a league almost brings tears to my eyes, but sadly it will be very hard to ever happen.
