Bragging time

So put my boy in to Wrestling last year at age 6, he was doing BJJ with me previously, never wrestled though. He loved it, took to it quick, even was put on the clubs Duals team, which as a first year is a big deal since the general rule is you need at least 2 years before being asked to be on the Duals team.

He won every tourny he entered but one, and took the league championships. Considering we are in a big wrestling area, with one of the better teams, who wrestle against great programs including from the Lehigh area, I am just a happy dad.

Anyway, this year, they moved him up to the black squad since the 1-2year squad (white) was not teaching him anything, so now he is with bigger tougher, more experienced wrestlers!

The picture below was taken from one of the team moms, shortly after this, he locked in the half and pinned the other guy. I just love the picture.

I never understood the sweatpants either, but you tend to see that more from the clubs from in and around the city, their teams are not very good as a whole. I guess nobody trains them otherwise.

I thought this was gonna be a thread for bragging about your grappling accomplishments. Doh..

Anyways, contgrats! It's kinda depressing to know there're 7-year olds that can out-wrestle me, however.

LOL. he has already won more trophies and medals than I did in wrestling.

I started late with wrestling, having done Ju Jit Su when I was young and jumping in to wrestling my freshman year of HS. I became a good practice partner for those better than me lol.
