Ok bragging some more. He is a second year wrestler, doing his first ICWL Open, which is the big tournament which covers the league with teams from Phillly out to lehigh, reading and heading west towards Harrisburg. As you can imagine there are alot of teams and a lot of wrestlers:
David won the whole shabang!! He was the number 2 ranked wrestler, going in, but he battled hard and won it all.
The first match, he pinned the guy in the second the second it was a real tough match, with him winning 4-2. The matches kept going like that with the competition getting tougher.
In the final match, it was the number 1 ranked wrestler against David number 2. It was a great match, with the other guy getting a 5 point lead early, by winning the takedown battle, and getting 3 back points. David reversed it near the end for 2 points, and turned the guy, but did not get back points as the period was over.
The second we put David on the bottom, and he spent the whole time working to get out, no points for either wrestler. In the third David started on top and flattened him out perfectly and turned him, the kid started screaming so the ref stopped it (though the kid was about to be pinned) and David earned 4 points (3 for back and 1 extra for the stoppage during a pin move due to injury time out). Once the injury time out was over, David started on top again, and flattened the kid again, and then earned more back points, the kid reversed David, but right at the end, David reversed him back, the clock hit before he was awarded the points though.
David won 8-7.

The trophy is almost as big as David is, and in the one photo you will see, is the 1st-4th place finishers, with David given a large copy of the bracket, a hoody that has printed, 2010 ICWL Champion and his trophy. The other kids received T-shirts that had printed 2010 ICWL championships and their trophies.
