The Marathon Looms Ahead

Running my first marathon this May. I've been training since September and have had weeks where I've averaged 90 Km. Hopefully I'll be able to step it up to over 100 Km within the next week or 2.

Had a couple set backs with illness this past month but I'm back on track now. Aiming to run a 3:15. That'd be awesome (for me).

This month is all about jackin' up the mileage and seeing if my mind/body can handle it.

Two weekends ago I ran 10 mies on Sat. and Sun. That brought my weekly average up to 52 miles.

Last weekend I ran 13.1 miles (half marathon) on Sat. and Sun. My mileage total for that week was 58.2.

This weekend I ran 16 miles Sat. and Sun. That brings my mileage up to 66 miles for the week (ran a couple extra miles on Fri.).

Next weekend I'm going to run 20 miles on both Sat. and Sun. That'll be the pinnacle for my high mileage weeks before race season.

Wow, that's really impressive and the race is in May? I've never tried to run while wearing snow shoes.
