With "Inside MMA" on a brief hiatus for the holiday, HDNet is set to air a new MMA special.

"The Last Emperor: Fedor" debuts tonight at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT).

Hosted by "Inside MMA" host Kenny Rice, the 30-minute special is described as a "look inside the life of Fedor Emelianenko" as "seen through the eyes of his family, trainers and experts in the MMA community."

For a brief preview of the special, check out the embedded clip.

The special aims to reveal more about the current WAMMA and former PRIDE heavyweight champion.

"Few athletes are recognized by a single name," Rice says in the preview. "In the world of MMA, Fedor immediately brings images of dominance, intimidation, and as close to perfect as anyone with his body of work has ever come.

"Fedor Emelianenko has also crossed over into the mainstream of sports, appealing to those who appreciate seeing someone at the apex of their game – as good as, arguably, it will ever get."

Emelianenko's Affliction wins over Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia have earned frequent replay on the all-high-definition channel, and now HDNet hopes to share more on the life of the often-private Russian champion. Emelianenko recently fought in front of an audience of millions as he defeated Brett Rogers in the CBS broadcast "Fedor vs. Rogers" event co-promoted by Strikeforce and M-1 Global.

Following the debut of the new special, HDNet will air a replay of October's DREAM.12 event – the Japanese organization's debut of "The White Cage."

Replays of "The Last Emperor: Fedor" are set for Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 a.m. ET and 4 a.m. ET.
