Bellator - Hess knee....anyone see?

Anyone catch the fight last night?

Broken arms and twisted joints are kind of gross

but that knee last night was almost alien. I could

barely watch, it looked terrible.

The fight was awful, both those guys looked like

they hadn't a clue what they were doing but

that outcome was fantastically greusome.

Hess didn't even cringe when it happened(granted he

had just eaten a massive knee to the face) nor did he

seem to be bothered by the idea of fighting on it

after they stood up... hell, I don't think the ref would

have had any idea had Hess not been able to stand

properly.

There was one camera angle they show before the ref

called the fight, the look in his eyes was horror.

Yeah, it was a pretty ugly fight. I was going for Shlemenko, had money on him, but I didn't wanna see him win like this. He didn't look great tonight, his takedown defense always sucks, but he seemed to constantly not recognize that Hess was wide open for subs all night long. What should've been an easy submission win ended up being a controversial TKO win.

That had to be one of the worst MMA injuries I've ever seen, though. Looked to me like maybe a broken kneecap. I'm not even sure what could've caused the injury.

You could see the injury happen right after he got nailed with the knee. He fell over his bent knee causing it to buckle outward... it was grotesque and they only showed it one time in the reply. Even the commentator was gagging. His leg buckeld much like Hughes' did when he got nailed by Alves only instead of buckling inward the momentum going down and him being bent over the knee caused the pressure to push the knee outward.

Hopefully someone will post up some pics of it.. I haven't been able to find any gifs of it yet.

And I agree..... the Russian couldn't pull a submission out of his ass to save his life last night. He could have had countless front chokes... but most of all he should have ended the fight when he laid on that brutal knee.

Wicked knee by the russian, but the injury was just horrible. It looked like he had a robot leg and they were taking it apart for replacement. That Russian translator was very bad as well. I think they just called up a Russian/English class and asked for the worst student.
