A couple of bouts have been confirmed by the upcoming Strikeforce and M-1 Global co-promoted event in June.

A title bout between female champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos (9-1) and Jay Finney (8-7) was officially announced, as well as a lightweight rematch between former EliteXC lightweight champ KJ Noons (8-2) and Charles “Krazy Horse” Bennett (22-16-2).

The “Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum” event will take place on June 26 in San Jose, Calif. and is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum.

Santos successfully defended her title last January against Marloes Coenen at the Strikeforce: Miami show, marking her ninth straight victory. The first female Strikeforce champ defeated fan favorite Gina Carano last summer for the title.

Finney has won four straight fights and five of her last six, turning her career around after losing four matches. She defeated Adrienna Jenkins by split decision in her last bout at a FCF 40 – Freestyle Cage Fighting 40 event in March.

The first bout between Noons and Bennett took place on the first ever EliteXC event on Showtime. “Krazy Horse” Bennett earned a first-round knockout over Noons in his promotion debut.

Bennett has earned and lost back-to-back bouts in his last four fights, going 2-2 with the King Of The Cage promotion. His exploits with the law outside of the cage have brought Bennett some negative notoriety have overshadowed his performance in the cage, winning 14 of his 22 victories by stoppage.

For Noons, the loss to Bennett is the only blemish to his career, the only EliteXC lightweight champ will make his Strikeforce debut at the June event. He’s earned victories in his past four bouts having earned a unanimous decision over Andre Amade in his last fight at DREAM.13 last March.
