Why all the Dana White hate?

why do people hate this guy so mucH?

he is as real as it gets. is it because he acts exactly like a fan who happens to run the business? do people really think his contracts are that bad? seems like they work. people don't get hurt elsewhere or refuse to defend their belt while they go awol for a year and a half competing in another org. true, he could have let fedor do sambo. maybe then we'd have seen fedor v brock (which we might still see, but i wonder how good brock will be post illness).

fighter pay could be better, but outside of the us where is the money coming from? it's not like boxing, which has enormous following worldwide. nor is it like they have the crazy list of sponsors that the nfl or mlb has.

if we compared the ufc's trajectory to football or baseball how would they line up? the ufc is less than 30 years old, where were either of those sports at this point in their histories?

where do you stand on dw?

Im a Dana fan. He is usually pretty honest, even to the point where it gets him in trouble and he lobbies for MMA regulation and expansion more then anyone else in the industry. The last point alone makes up for the rest of his flaws (mainly being a little too vince'ish in terms of wanting to squash the competition and the f bombs in interviews).

He does a great job of running the company, and some of his moves like letting go of Hendo were simply genius. Still wish he would bump up the pay of the fighters on the lower end of the pay spectrum though.

I'm a Dana white fan myself. I think it's amusing to see people find the smallest things to hate on him for.

One thing I'll say about Dana, he loves MMA, it's not just business for him, he has a geniune love of the sport, and I'm glad the UFC is in someones hands who does.

I would imagine someone in the bottom three or four fights of a card on average make less than a UFC fighter.

They fight a hell of a lot more often though.
