"Right now I have a couple months off, so I've actually been toying with the idea of maybe going down a weight class. Since I don't have a fight for a couple months, I've just been watching what I eat and see how my body without trying to put size on; what my natural weight will fall now at now since I have lifted a lot lately to add size. I'm kind of curios where I think I would fall at. Because some of the guys I train with that are light heavyweight, bone structures are the same. Sometimes I stand next to Forrest and I think I'm in the wrong weight class."

point 1: to reach 205 he'd have to go and live in ethiopia

point 2: forrest griffin, prob not the best person to compare yourself to when looking at moving to LHW, the guy is prob the best weight cutter in the business

point 3: far to many fast, powerful strikers at 205 for a bjj guy with slow, average striking and no td ability to think about fighting

Maybe he knows more about the rumored 225 weight class than we do.No chance in hell of making 205.Guy would be a walking corpse

agreed

he is far too big for 205 even next to forrest

225 would be a nice division between light heavy and heavy to have. quite a few guys could make that division interesting

Ideally a non-walking corpse! Lol

I don't know how many times I have to say this, he just needs to train his balls off at wrestling and keep working on his striking. His thinking of going to 205 is an admission that he would rather run away from the big wrestlers than put in the "RIGHT" kind of work to beat them. I am one of the few who actually like Mir. I just don't get him lately. His lack of wrestling and take downs will show up big at 205 as well. If he can't dictate the fight into his JJ, he is just a knockout victim waiting to happen.
