Building my own Grappling/MMA training dummy.

So, I took some plans I found online and decided to buy all the materials and see if I could do it. I picked up the items at Lowes Friday evening. Cost me about $60 because I got 50% off on the 200 amp service cable, since I wanted 15 feet and they had a pre-cut peice that was 13 1/2 feet. So, I took the left over and they gave me half off. It was the most expensive part so it saved me a bit. The materials I've used so far are 2" PVC pipe, 200 amp service cable and 2 rolls of duct tape.

I intended to take a few picture along the way showing the progress, however, when I got home I was so excited I didn't think about it. I wanted to get started so bad I ended up not take any so far. It was much easier than I thought it would be, so I just kept going and going since I was on a roll.

I'm about 1/3 of the way done, after only like 2-3 hours work mostly duct taping ****. I finished his legs and have everything cut and ready to go to start the arms. It was after I cut the arms and legs I realized that the 13 1/2 feet of cable I got on a discount wasn't going to be enough. I'll have to go back and pick up another 3 feet for the spine and neck.

I'll snap some photos when I get a chance.

hell, its summertime and hay season is in full swing. Just go hire yourself out to sling those 80 lb bales up on a trailer all day in the 105 degree heat. You will have farm boy strength in no time. Punch on the bales if you want to.

Where are your pool noodles?

You could probably get the same effect by taping a few lengths of 12 gauge NM together instead of using the 200 amp wire.

I use half inch rebar. Grapple successfully with that and you'll be able to turn Lesnar into a noodle with no problem.
