Damn Brodies Did Strikeforce Just Put On A Card Better Than The UFC?

?

I mean it might be a lightweight L, but still an L.

UFC card started at 6 PST

SF card started at 7 PST

they end at the same time, man. Dana must be pissed. Strikeforce had 4 KOs and 1 fight that feature a grade A - Ass Whoopin.

I have never been a strikeforce fan, but man did that card style on UFC decision 2010.

I wondering if this will be a trend since Dana is putting so much pressure on these guys that more fights will be long winded and dull - hendricks/story.

No, putting fights together with guys who don't belong in the ring with each other may lead to spectacular knockouts, but it wasn't a great card overall. Kyle had almost no chance against Silva (even his puncher's chance didn't count), the first fight was an absolute joke (why do you have 2 guys taking a fight on short notice? Was there really NO ONE else available?), and Lindland really looks like he is finished.

Also, wth was up with the fight announcement for January? They make this big deal about 2 great cards in January and announce exactly ONE freakin fight between the 2 cards. The main SF card is 6-7 weeks away and they can't even announce one fight they have lined up?

All that aside ^^ strictly from an unbiased viewer's standpoint Strikeforce had a much better card.

Kyle damn near finished Silva within the first minute of fighting. How is that no chance? The first fight was fine; it was basically just a up-and-comer showcase, which is what the entire TUF card is (well aside from the Story-Hendricks fight). OSP will be a solid contender in the 205 division, and getting him as much exposure as possible is a good decision on SF's part.

The only fight I figured was a complete mismatch was Daley-Smith, the other beatings came as a surprise to me.

There isn't really a comparison. Hell, they even had production difficulties for the TUF card, which is entirely uncharacteristic. The only way UFC makes up for this is a Krosscheck win, maybe by a bogus stoppage, followed by a Montreal riot. That would be epic.

Considering this was a free UFC card with only 1 top ten fighter on it, if strikeforce hadn't put on a better show it would have been a joke.

I like sf for the most part, but there is almost zero depth in terms of their fighter roster

Strikeforce has been putting on better cards than the UFC for a while now sir. This was no different.
