Ray pays homage to one of the most glorious things about dead Pride, the Crazy Pride Lady Lenne Hardt. Just watching the tribute vid brought a tear to my eye and really does illustrate how fantastic dead Pride was in its difference from the UFC.

Mega production, huge entrances, screaming announcers all in front of tens of thousands of fans.

Like lost youth and your first love, it was wonderful.

Pride never die! Lenne hold all teh belt!

Ariel interviewed her today and she announced his name. He was pretty pumped about it.

I was always in the middle with Pride.

I know it's some people's thing, but Japanese cards just ****ing drag on forever and ever. I remember I would always download pride events in college and half the time I'd fall asleep before the card ever started because I didn't give two ****s about 25 minutes of a bunch of guys banging on drums.

One thing I will always miss though is the announcers talking about how you wouldn't find "amazing production values" anywhere else, then suddenly the absolute worst CG ring of fire you could ever imagine would show up hovering above the ring. I would laugh at that for like hours. That was some Ed Wood ****.

I always felt like they were taking something great (the fights) and bogging it down with all of this needless, boring, unrelated bull****.

Lenne Hardt owned though. I would play as Big Nog on the Pride game for PS2 just to hear her yell his name when I won.

Ufc always feels like regular season, but PRIDE always felt like the Super Bowl.
